A short story about the couple
Alicia and Min met on New Year's Eve of 2003. Min, then recently
arrived from his studies in the U.S., was being shown around Singapore
by Shirley, whom he met through friends Chi-Wah and Ann while they
visited him from the States. Shirley invited Alicia to hang out with
the rest of the crew welcoming Chi-Wah and Ann.
Taxis were a bit scarce in the early hours of the new year, so
Alicia and Min got to know each other a little bit on a one hour walk
towards the way home.
